Hi! I'm Melissa, adventure seeker and lover of my little brood, Jesus, the ocean, making whatever house a home, and your friend here at Melissa Batzer Photography. You'll likely find out the biggest parts of me very quickly in our conversation. God and my family are my inspiration. My husband, Brenton is always cheering me on. My two kiddos are a constant reminder of the true meaning of life. They are the reason I pour my heart into this work because family means everything and time is fleeting!
I love children so much! I have always wanted to be a mother. Its truly the only thing I ever wanted to be. The Lord of good gifts saw it fit for me to have to wait to become a mother though. My husband and I had to wait 3 years before welcoming our first child due to a PCOS diagnosis and difficulty conceiving. I know what a precious thing your family is. Each family is made differently for as many reasons as there are varieties of flowers. After my son was born, I saw the biggest blessing in front of me and wanted to photograph every moment to remember forever!
Newborn and family lifestyle photography has become my greatest passion. Amidst the beautiful chaos, there is so much joy, and I love capturing what makes each family uniquely special. I offer gentle guidance to help bring out those playful moments, cozy cuddles, intimate connections, and heartfelt emotions that make your story truly yours.

Don't worry mama. I have some fun tricks up my sleeve to pull the smiles out of you, your kids, and husband. Your kiddos will be engaged and having fun throughout the entire shoot, which is what this is all about. My biggest secret is that you don't even need to actually smile and cheese it up for the camera! You only need to show up ready to have fun with your people and make a fun memory out of this while I work my side of the magic! Your family is the secret sauce, I'll be the one to freeze this moment in time for you with my artistic view.
